Materials for all Ornament Shapes:

1 Felt square or felt fabric (12" x 9")
5" x 5" piece of polyester quilt batting for filler
Novtex trimming for decorating
Glue gun and glue stick
Bits of sequins, pearls, beads, charms or other items from your trim collection.

For all shapes use these general cutting and gluing directions: Trace the pattern shapes. Cut two felt pieces. Cut one polyester batting piece (ornament filler, this gives the finished ornament added dimension), cutting this piece ¼" smaller than the pattern. Place the batting piece between the felt pieces. Glue the felt edges together, leaving a ½" space at the top for the hanger. Cut a 10" piece of trim for the hanger, fold in half and glue the ends into the opening. Add glue to close the opening. Using the Novtex trimmings decorate the ornament. Accent and individualize your ornament with bits and pieces from your trim collection.

Angel
Doll Hair
1 Wood Bead with hole 1-1/4" diameter
12"x9" piece of polyester quilt batting for filler
3" piece of pipe cleaner
1 Felt square or felt fabric (12"x9")
Small piece of felt for hands
Novtex trimming for decorating
Glue gun and glue sticks

Trace the Angel pattern inside this pamphlet, cut two pieces of the felt dress figure. Place the polyester batting in between the two felt pieces. Glue the felt edges together all around leaving a 1/2" opening at the top end for inserting the doll head and on the sleeves (for attaching hands). Cut two hand shapes and attach into sleeves. For the angel's head: fold the pipe cleaner in half, apply glue to folded end. Place this end into the hole in the bead. Add hair to the bead, draw the angel's face and apply glue to the pipe cleaner and insert the angel's dress on sleeves, bodice and hem. Cut a 2 1/2" piece of trim for the halo, glue it into a circle and attach to the angel's hair. Using the polyester quilt batting, cut two wings. Attach wings to angel's back.
     
   
Christmas Ball
1 Felt square or felt fabric (12"x9")
5"x5" piece of polyester quilt batting for filler
Novtex trimming for decorating
Glue gun and glue sticks
Compact disc (to trace for 4 1/2" circle)
Using an old compact disc for size, trace a circle on the felt and cut two circles. Using the polyester quilt batting cut one circle, making it 1/4" smaller around the circle. Place the batting in between the felt circles and glue the felt together leaving a 1/2" opening at the end for inserting the hanger. Cut 10" of trim for the hanger. Insert and glue the two ends of the hanger into the ball opening. Decorate the ornament with your choice of Novtex trimmings.
